Brother embroidery machines
Brother makes the most-searched home embroidery machines in the US. The PE line is embroidery-only, the SE line sews and embroiders, and the PR line is multi-needle for hats and small businesses. All of them read Brother's .PES files, and most also read .DST.
Model names tell you a lot: PE models (like the PE800 and PE900) only embroider, SE models (like the SE700 and SE2000) are sewing and embroidery combos, and PR models are multi-needle machines. Within each line, a higher number usually means a newer model or a bigger field.
Brother home machines use the same .PES design format and similar hoop sizes (4 × 4, 5 × 7 and 6 × 10 in), so designs and skills carry over when you upgrade.
